After a busy but much needed 30 days away from the blog, we’re back and ready to start making more disgustingly delicious treats and dark arts and crafts! We’ve got a new look, a new list of fun projects to tackle, and thanks to the amazing feedback we’ve gotten from you guys, you can expect even more changes and improvements…
Since it’s February, we thought we’d start out by grudgingly acknowledging the absolute worst holiday of all times…Valentine’s Day, or as we call it…VD.
Ugh. At its core, it’s a commercial cash grab by the flower and candy company (which, as money is truly the root of all evil, I can grudgingly respect)…but it’s more than that…
It’s just so…cute and adorable and saccharine and…Valentine-y?
Is that a word???
Regardless, this day of pale pink and dusty rose will be fast upon us whether or not we like it…so instead of whining incessantly about it, we decided to embrace it…Nom style.
That means we’ll be sharing with y’all a full month of Bloody Valentine’s inspired treats…starting with today’s post and our version of those ubiquitous VD cards.
Forget starry-eyed kittens surrounded by hearts and sparkles or superheroes with kick-ass phrases like “Valentine, I wanna hug you tighter than my spandex onesie hugs me.”
Nope.
Our versions are just gory enough to make the Nom cut but still cute enough to be reasonably acceptable should you realize that your own little hellspawn needs cards for their elementary school class party first thing tomorrow morning, and it’s now 10 PM and you’re in your pajamas sitting on the couch drinking box wine and watching reality shows and no way in Hell you’re heading out last minute to go pick up a box of those overpriced cardboard platitudes.
So sit back and relax…we’ve got you covered with 8 adorably completely original and disgusting Nom cards with just the right amount of eew.
Feast your eyes on the preview pics here:
To download your own ready-to-print file of these cards, just click here:
Once the file opens, save it to your computer until you’re ready to print. We suggest making sure you have your printer set to portrait and make sure you’ve selected “size to fit.”
Oh, and just a heads up, if you’re interested in even more bloody Valentine’s day cards, subscribe to the Nom* and we’ll send you an exclusive third sheet of 4 more cards for a total of 12!
And if that’s not enough…we’ll also include in that email a link to a super secret Nom page that includes two more complete sets of variation cards for a total of 36!
Happy VD!
*If you haven’t already signed up, the new subscription banner should be at the top of the page. If for some reason it doesn’t show up, shoot us a message with your email and we’ll be sure to add you.
And if cards aren’t your thing, or you want to sweeten the deal with a little chocolate, here’s our easy raspberry chocolate skull truffles recipe and printed box template.
Bone appetite!
